A virtual production LED wall is a large, high-resolution screen surrounding a film set, displaying real-time dynamic environments. Filmmakers capture final shots live without green screens or extensive post-production, as the walls project virtual scenes, provide natural lighting and reflections, and move in sync with the camera. These LED panels offer high resolution, enabling sharp footage from just a few meters away. Combined with camera tracking and virtual production tools, they allow real-time scene changes, precise light and color control, immersive environments, and reduced production time and costs. In recent years, LED walls have replaced chroma key sets in modern productions by enabling realistic, on-set digital backgrounds.
How it works: Interconnected LED panels form a curved or horseshoe-shaped screen around the filming area.
